American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the Global leader in the Corporate Payments Solutions space and subsequently continues to be an exciting and fast-growing business.

Global Commercial Services (GCS) is a core operating group of American Express and has delivered robust growth over the past decade. GCS partners with commercial clients to help them manage travel expenses and make large purchases through Amex proprietary payment solutions and expense management tools.

The AP Automation Ramp Team under the U.S. Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) provides dedicated support once an AP Automation solution has been sold. This team powerfully backs our Commercial Clients as well as partners closely with the AP Automation Ecosystem including US SME Field Sales & Account Development, Product, Marketing, Pricing Performance & Transformation, and our AP Automation Partners.

In this critical role, the AP Automation Consultant will be responsible for driving exceptional results that deliver on our brand promise. The team objective is to ramp and accelerate charge volume growth while providing an unparalleled customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Be an expert and maintain a deep knowledge of P2P process flows and A/P Automation solutions
  • Support all AP Automation Charge Volume Ramp activities with the client for both new and expansion sales including:
    • Work with Client to continue converting vendors to achieve 100% enabled vs. paid
    • Follow-up on unreconciled tokens
    • Identify and resolve barriers to usage
    • Conduct additional training with Client as necessary
    • Partner closely and warm hand-off to Ecosystem
  • Provide robust feedback to US SME Leadership and AP Automation Ecosystem with key insights, best practices, trends, etc.
  • Look for opportunities to innovate and improve the Client experience and the overall internal implementation processes.
  • Adhere to Blue Box Values, GCS Sales Practices and Standard Operating Procedure and American Express Leadership Behaviors

Qualifications:

  • Be a champion of and for Compliance within US SME and GCS
  • Strong Business to business insight and working knowledge of ERP/AP software’s
  • Prior consultative sales and account development experience, preferably in an outbound call environment
  • Effective account development or project management experience with proven results in building and managing an effective "pipeline" to drive growth
  • Must possess the ability to build and leverage relationships with internal colleagues and support external vendors
  • Proven ability to excel in a fast paced, ever changing working environment while making decisions quickly
  • Demonstrates agility, flexibility and personal accountability
  • Candidates must have proven organizational and time management skills
  • Must be self-driven with a disciplined work ethic & possess an enthusiastic “can do” attitude
  • Must excel in prioritizing multiple tasks, developing daily, weekly and monthly call strategies
  • Creative problem-solving skills

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
